HOPE for Girls @VISA engages both alumni and girls currently benefiting from the program to give their voice on program design, implementation and evaluation. This is done through a steering committee (GSC) selected every three years. The selection is done by nomination where girls nominate representatives from each education level.-Primary, Secondary and Tertiary. This committee consist of 9 girls who elect their officials.

The GSC ensures that beneficiaries’ ideas is incorporated in all aspects of the program where they make suggestions on project interventions, co-creating proposals, supervising project implementation and getting feedback. This ensures that our programs adheres to the principle of ‘Nothing about us without us.’

The current GSC members are:

    Martha Maginga Chairperson GSC

    Secretary GSC
